1.2. How to Set Up Reward Amounts #
Choosing Between Basic and Advanced Setup #
When setting up rewards, you can choose between two options:
- Basic: Use a single fixed reward rate for all purchases (e.g., 1¢ per $1).
- Advanced: Create multiple tiers with custom reward percentages and optionally set a maximum limit on how much a customer can earn per tier (e.g., 10% back for $1–$500, 15% for $501–$1500, with a max limit of $150).
To switch between Basic and Advanced Setup:
- On the Rewards submenu, choose either Basic or Advanced by selecting the radio button next to your preferred setup.
- Each mode saves your settings separately, so you can switch back and forth without losing progress.
- The selected option will be highlighted.
How to Set Up Rewards in Basic #
- On the Rewards submenu, select Basic.
- Enter how many cents to give back per $1 spent.
- Example: Enter 1 to give 1¢ per $1 (that’s 1% back)
- Example: Enter 10 to give 10¢ per $1 (that’s 10% back).
- Click Save.
| Best For: Stores with a simple 1-size-fits-all loyalty plan. |
How to Set Up Rewards in Advanced #
- On the Rewards submenu, select Advanced.
- You’ll see a table of reward tiers.
- Click Add New to create a reward tier.
- Fill in the fields:
- Rewards Name (e.g., “Silver Tier”)
- Min Amount (e.g., $10)
- Max Amount (e.g., $100)
- Reward % (e.g., 2%)
- (Optional) Maximum Limit – set the maximum store credit customers can receive for this tier.
- Tick the checkbox labeled:
“Check to set a limit on how much you want this reward to give back.” - This will reveal a new field: Set the max amount of money you will give back at this reward level.
- Enter the amount (e.g., $50).
- This cap ensures that even if customers spend a large amount, they will only receive up to the set maximum reward credit.
- Avoid overlapping tiers.
- Example: If one tier ends at $100, start the next tier at $101.
- Click Save.
| ‼️Important: Overlapping ranges may cause incorrect reward calculation or system errors. Keep them distinct. |

- Find the reward level you want to update, then click the Edit
button beside it.
